An arrest has been made in connection with the killing of a Georgia school teacher and beauty queen who went missing 11 years ago, authorities announced Thursday.
The GBI is set to hold a news conference at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Irwin County courthouse in Ocilla to discuss updates in the investigation into the 2005 disappearance of Tara Grinstead.
Duke graduated in 2002 from Irwin County High School, where Grinstead taught.
Police found the 30-year-old's cell phone, auto and dog, Dolly Madison, at her Ocilla, Ga., home-about 200 miles south of Atlanta. She was reported missing after she failed to show up to work Monday.
However, a GBI statement of the case says, "The search for Grinstead's remains continues". They found her cell phone and vehicle all still there but the 30-year-old teacher was gone. Police found her cell phone and vehicle at her home, but her keys and purse were missing, according to AP.

GBI said the investigation is ongoing and would not give details on motive or if Duke acted alone.
