A Bronx tenant was fatally stabbed during an alleged dispute with his landlord Wednesday.
Taha Mahran, 51, repeatedly stabbed Zakir Khan, 44, in the torso in their building at 1001 Logan Ave., near Barkley Avenue, about 6:30 pm, the police said.
Khan was stabbed to death Wednesday evening, February 22, by Taha Mahran outside Mahran's Throgs Neck house where Khan rented an apartment for his family. Police charged Mahran with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, officials said.
"[The landlord] was very stressed about not getting any rent and I guess he lost it".
Mahran was also described as a good person by people who know him. Khan's family was upstairs in their home and heard his screams for help.

Khan meanwhile has fought just twice in the last two years, stepping up to middleweight to challenge Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in May last year.
"Mr. Khan worked hard to empower the Bangladesh community throughout the city of New York", Sepulveda said.
Khan was the owner Parkchester Real Estate New York, according to the site.
" Zakir was a very popular face in Bengali community in NY", the site said. Despite his prominence in the local community he was no stranger to legal problems.
The Post added that the Bangladeshi victim had recently been in court for aggravated harassment and stalking charges, and was scheduled to appear in court next month.
