Earlier this week, the police also initiated proceedings for a look out notice against Prajapati following reports that he may try to escape overseas to evade arrest.
The police have already issued a non-bailable warrant.
Observing that the law will take its course, the Supreme Court on Monday did not recall its order on lodging an FIR against Uttar Pradesh minister Gayatri Prajapati on charges of rape. We never ordered arrest.
A bench of the apex court headed by Justice Arjan Kumar Sikri made it clear that it won't modify its order.
