Oklahoma State's appearance in the NCAA Tournament marks the Cowboys' 28th all-time trip to the Big Dance and their fourth in the last five seasons. He used it to get MI to the national championship game in 2013. The start time is slated for 12:15 p.m. ET and is a CBS Sports broadcast. They finish 20-13, but a heckuva a first year for new coach Brad Underwood and with Underwood's pedigree and what he should get back from this team and what will be coming in the door the future is bright.

After losing to Kansas State on January 19, Oklahoma State was 10-8.

Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman kept MI in the game when Oklahoma State jumped out to a small lead.

MI entered this game with 328 3-point baskets - 12th most in the nation. Walton hit all three free throws and the Wolverines took a 41-40 lead at halftime. He is a passing wizard with outstanding court vision.

Scoring: Team (85.5); Jawun Evans 19.0; Jeffrey Carroll 17.4; Phil Forte III 13.3.

But the Wolverines heated from outside, drilling three of their five first-half 3-pointers to surge into the lead. I think that the perception of the conference is really driven by its top few programs. They rank 320th nationally in field goal percentage defense (47.0) and 301st in scoring defense (78.0). The Cowboys lost and with 20 seconds more on the clock very well could have won. Which means Oklahoma State will have their hands full trying to defend Moe Wagner and DJ Wilson.

MI doesn't do much in the way of defense - but that's somewhat by design.

The Wolverines (24-11) are led by Derrick Walton - the Big Ten Tournament MVP - who averages 15.2 points and 4.7 assists per game.

Liam Folkes, Nate Sucese and David Goodwin netted the early scores in a 4-1 victory over MI in the opening round of the Big Ten tournament on Thursday night at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. The difference at guard might be who else steps up. A sixth swish, from Walton, gave U-M a 62-61 lead with 12 minutes to play and provided a clear indication of what was in store for the remainder of the game. Zak Irvin and Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman each had 16. Eric Schierhorn was named the Big Ten Goaltender of the Year, and added a Big Ten Third Star of the Week for his performance last weekend against Michigan State.

Oklahoma State loses their fourth in a row, Iowa State and Kansas to end the regular season, Iowa State in the Big 12 Tournament, and then MI in the NCAA. Outside of people that might have had Oklahoma State moving on in their bracket, most people seem to be content with the final results of the game.

MI sealed it at the free-throw line.

MI handed them that opportunity on a silver platter.

With the regular season over in the Big Ten, it's time to figure out who belongs in the NCAA tournament (hint: Minnesota, PSU, maaaaybe Wisconsin), and who doesn't (lots of other teams).

Their "big man" is Moritz Wagner. We don't see that a ton in our conference. That's what we try to do when we're feeling good and making shots that way.
